We collect basic information such as name, mobile number and/or email when one of your connections refers you to ChitGuru. This reference could be as a subscriber, agent/franchise, guarantor, nominee, alternate contact, emergency contact, etc.

ChitGuru collects additional information when you start operating on any of our services. This includes your full name, age, address, occupation, and other details, most of which help us with fraud detection and provide better security to subscribers.

As ChitGuru offers subscription services, detailed KYC (Know Your Customer) information is collected for every subscriber. This includes PAN, Aadhaar, average monthly income, etc.

When you provide your mobile number, email address or your contact's mobile number, you authorize us to send OTP and other transactional messages to you/your contact. You confirm that you are authorized to share such contact's information with us and that you are responsible if such members raise any objections to privacy violations.

You may also add other information to your account, such as profile picture/avatar, basic personal details, address for communication, and company or organizational details.

You may authorize the app to auto-detect the OTP sent. This is optional; alternatively, you may enter the OTP manually.

Usage and Log Information: We collect service-related, diagnostic, and performance information, including activity information, log files, and diagnostic, crash, website, and performance logs and reports.

Transactional Information: If you pay for our Services, we may receive information and confirmations such as payment receipts, including from app stores or other third parties processing your payment.

Device and Connection Information: We collect device-specific information when you install, access, or use our Services, including hardware model, operating system information, browser information, IP address, mobile network information including phone number, and device identifiers.

Cookies: We use cookies to operate and provide our Services, including web-based services, improve your experiences, understand how our Services are being used, and customize our Services. We may also use cookies to remember your choices, such as language preferences.

Information Others Provide About You: We receive information other people provide us, which may include information about you. For example, other users may provide your phone number from their mobile address book, or your chit organizer/foreman may directly add you as a member in a Chit/Chit Group.

We use all the information we have to help us operate, provide, improve, understand, customize, support, and market our Services.

Our Services: We operate and provide our Services, including customer support, and improve, fix, and customize our Services. We analyze how people use our Services to evaluate and improve them, research and develop new services and features, and conduct troubleshooting activities.

Safety and Security: We verify accounts and activity, promote safety and security on and off our Services, investigate suspicious activity or violations of our Terms & Conditions, and ensure our Services are being used fairly.

We communicate with you about our Services and features, our Terms & Conditions and policies, and other important updates. We may provide you marketing for our Services and those of CloudAngle IT Solutions Private Limited and our tech-partner company.

Any personal data collected will be used by us to contact you via phone, SMS or email for marketing and to deliver updates for services or information you have requested.

No Third-Party Banner Ads: We do not allow third-party banner ads on our app. We have no intention to introduce them, but if we ever do, we will update this policy. We may, however, offer promotional offers from our business affiliates to provide related services.

All of our rights and obligations under our Privacy Policy are freely assignable by us to any of our affiliates, in connection with a merger, acquisition, restructuring, or sale of assets, or by operation of law or otherwise, and we may transfer your information to any of our affiliates, successor entities, or new owner.

My Profile / Preferences: You can change your details/settings to manage certain information available to other users. You can also change your name, contact details and profile picture at any time.

Deleting Your ChitGuru Account: You may delete your account at any time (including if you want to revoke your consent to our use of your information) by writing an email from your registered email address to support@chitguru.in. When you delete your account, it does not affect information other users/businesses already have relating to you, such as their copy of chit-related activity and transaction history.

For compliance, regulatory and audit purposes, we may need to retain KYC and transaction data. Once you delete your account, you are no longer active and will not receive notifications, updates, promotional emails/messages, etc.

We may collect, use, preserve, and share your information if we have a good-faith belief that it is reasonably necessary to: (a) respond pursuant to applicable law or regulations, legal process, or government requests; (b) enforce our Terms & Conditions and any other applicable terms and policies; (c) detect, investigate, prevent, and address fraud and other illegal activity, security, or technical issues; or (d) protect the rights, property, and safety of our users, ChitGuru, CloudAngle IT Solutions Pvt Ltd and CloudAngle IT Solutions Private Limited.

You agree to our information practices, including the collection, use, processing, and sharing of your information as described in this Privacy Policy, as well as the transfer and processing of your information when the data is stored in a secured cloud in India.

We may amend or update our Privacy Policy. We will provide you notice of amendments as appropriate and update the "Last Modified" date at the top of this Privacy Policy. Your continued use of our Services confirms your acceptance of our Privacy Policy, as amended. If you do not agree to our Privacy Policy, as amended, you must stop using our Services.
